Monday! Thought for the day . . .

It always helps me to think of even just one thing I am looking forward to. Today the thought of a coffee on my way to work went a long way with helping me get out of bed! I love popping into Robert Harris on my way to work as a treat. Also looking forward to Quiz night at Brew tonight!

Running

Running is one of those things I never ever ever thought I would ever enjoy. I was that kid with the [forged] sick note at cross country, running as an 'enjoyable' activity was never even on my radar. And then I moved to Tauranga.

We have so many beautiful tracks here that you are spoilt for choice and it was just a natural progression from walking those tracks to running. I've run a couple of events now with my longest run a half marathon, but I constantly swing between needing an event planned to keep me motivated to being completely de-motivated by any kind of training plan!

At the moment I am running for me, because I enjoy it and because if on the odd occasion the weather is good enough to ponder a run it would be a great shame not to (being in the great depths of despair that is winter). Nothing like a bit of wind in your hair and the odd stitch to make you feel alive!

Not bad for a Lazy Sunday!

Running is so good for me. It is so worth dragging myself out of bed on a workday for a run . . . its actually exactly like all of those motivation pinterest slogans, I never regret going for a run but I do regret it when I have a run planned and can't manage to get my ass out of bed!

. . . so anyways if you are living in Tauranga or visiting I do plan to post a few more of my favourite running routes! It's the little things right! ;) So keep an eye out x

Little Things

Not quite sure what inspired it but I have decided today to dive back into the blogging world!

My previous blog over here died of natural causes a while back, life just got in the way . . . I didn't devote enough time to it and in the end lost a bit of love for it too!

I thought a fresh start while keeping the content along the same lines wouldn't hurt and so here I am. Looking forward to sharing the little things that make a big difference in helping me enjoy life a little bit more!
